Financial counselling is the process of empowering individuals and families to resolve their financial problems and stresses through achieving financial goals, changing their money behaviour, and improving financial literacy.

This is a client-driven collaborative approach where the client sets the goals and the counsellor provides guidance, support, and eduction.

The Financial Counselling Process

Introduction

It starts with a free Introduction Call. During a 30min phone call or a virtual meeting you’ll share a little about yourself and what you would like support with.

Discovery

During the Discovery Session, you’ll have a deeper conversation about your situation. Depending on the conversation, you may establish an action plan and what supports or follow-ups you want.

Progress

After Discovery, you’ll likely want a couple Progress Sessions to develop your action plan and to establish your new money habits. These sessions can be scheduled as often as you want them.

Check-Ins

Check-in are brief 30 minute meetings that can be used to help keep you on track and to measure your progress on your action plan.
